Israel At War – Day 94
Israel Will Be On Their Own
Two State Solution, Again And Again
When it comes to talks about what to with Gaza, there is Israel’s stance which is to control the area until it is safe for everybody and well, the rest of the world saying a two-state solution is needed. In comments from US Secretary of State Antony Blinken that we read in an article from The Times Of Israel we read this:
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says after meeting with the leaders of Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi that countries in the region are interested in pursuing normalization of relations with Israel, but that it will require a clear path toward a Palestinian state.
“There’s a clear interest in the region in pursuing that, but it will require that the conflict end in Gaza and it will also clearly require that there be a practical pathway to a Palestinian state,” Blinken says.
“But the interest is there, it’s real, and it could be transformative.”
As we continue to see, the talking points always come back to Palestinians getting control of more of Israel and civilians being helped with aid. What is forgotten is that every time a country allows these people a chance to govern themselves, they have tried to take over the host country or incite unrest. An on October 7th these very same people brutally attacked the nation that gave them land to do with as they wanted, gave them utilities and the supplies to develop to become self-sustaining, and left them with thriving agricultural businesses which they bulldozed simply because they were made by Jews. And they took financial aid meant for its people and diverted it into building up its military and developing a massive underground system of tunnels. Here’s a transformative thought Mr. Blinken: Let these leaders give some of their land for a Palestinian state. There’s a reason Israel is tired of giving up land for peace. They give up land and get terrorism in return. That cycle needs to stop.
Danger Of War Growing
While also in the Middle East, Blinken said that the war could widen as we see in this report from The Times Of Israel:
“This is a moment of profound tension for the region. This is a conflict that could easily metastasize, causing even more insecurity and suffering,” he (Blinken) told reporters in Doha.
The statement was made in a larger context of the future of Gaza. As noted above, allowing Gazans to return to the area as concerns of displacement are being bandied about. If giving them control of the area is also meant by this, Israel has it made it quite clear that they will maintain control until such time the threat of a new terrorist regime rising again is gone. However, Blinken’s concern about the war expanding is a valid one, but it is to those attacking Israel that he and others should be talking about and talking to. Hezbollah to the north needs to stop shooting rockets into Israeli territory. Hamas needs to do the same. The Houthis need to quit blocking ships in the Red Sea. And Gazans need to return to the area and show they can work side by side with Jews is they want to live there.
“Journalists” Killed
I put journalist in quotes because when reports about the deaths of these men came out, the full context wasn’t given. And even when the topic was broached by Blinken, he said this:
“This is an unimaginable tragedy. And that’s also been the case for… far too many innocent Palestinian men, women, and children,” Blinken said of the deaths of Hamza Wael Dahdouh and Mustafa Thuria, announced earlier by the Qatar-based network.
He immediately lumped these men in with innocent men women and children which was a connection that the media makes to give sympathy to the terrorists that are killed who pose as civilians. Here is what the IDF had to day about this incident found in an article from i24news.tv:
The Israeli Defense Forces later claimed the pair used a “flying device” posing a threat to soldiers amid battlefield uncertainty. It said those killed were terrorists, not protected journalists.
Some accounts said that the so-called journalists were in a car with terrorists who were flying a drone in a way that put IDF forces at risk. This begs the question why these men were in a car with a terrorist who was using a drone in the first place. We must recall that earlier in this war, journalists were with Hamas soldiers during the initial attacks and one was pictured smiling next to the leader of Hamas. If I was reporting from the area, the last thing I would do is ride in a car with them in an area where the war was raging and then engaging in suspicious behavior.
Israel Is On Their Own
The more these leaders keep talking about giving control of Gaza and even the West Bank to Palestinians in a way to end the war, the more Israel nicely, but firmly tell them all that Gaza will be controlled by themselves until they are sure that the attacks on October 7th don’t ever happen again. Take a moment and think about that. Under what circumstances will that occur? First, all terrorists currently on any border of Israel must be eliminated and all their arms and positions removed. Second, the Palestinians must agree that Israel is a nation and that it has a right to exist. Third, they must stop teaching their citizens and especially their children that Israel is evil and must be destroyed. When I hear a press conference or statement from these countries with those three things as part of terms, then and only then will I believe progress is made and peace is a possibility. And I might add, when the United States goes to these Arab nations and makes these demands and then they come to a podium saying these are the terms they offered I will also begin to have hope for the negotiations. I hate to say this, but I don’t hear it now and I don’t expect it to happen any time soon. In short, Israel will be on its own in how this war plays out in all theaters where terrorists are attacking from. And I also believe that they will prevail, but it will need to be with God’s help.
