Israel At War – Day 84

Shameless Use Of Children

Making A Deal With The Devil

I would have called this negotiations to free hostages, but I must point out that Israel didn’t take hostages captive on October 7th for the purpose of making deals that help them in winning a war to destroy Israel. It was Hamas and other terrorists who did that after they raped, beat, and killed innocent men, women, children, babies, and unborn children still in their mother’s wombs. And now these same evil people are using those they have beaten and held as hostages for 84 days now to get the war to stop so they can regroup and fight longer. Released hostages revealed that the conditions are harsh and that the women and even men were abused before they were let go. And Hamas received 3 prisoners for every one hostage they let go, prisoners who stabbed innocent citizens, threw bombs into buildings and other acts of violence and prisoners who are living in the West Bank ready to fight for Hamas again. Make no mistake that the talk of Hamas agreeing in principle to start talks again is not in good faith. It is an indication that they are getting decimated by the IDF and need to get a breather if they want to survive. These are devils who want everything to favor themselves and harm Israel and anyone who supports them.

Netanyahu Confirms The Talks

In an article found on CBN.com we read that such talks of releasing more hostages are happening:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that Israel is participating in talks for the freeing of more hostages.

"We are holding contacts at this very moment. I cannot detail the status. We are working to return them all," he said. The prime minister made it clear to hostage families that the Gaza military campaign is pushing Hamas to negotiate, although he called the process a "tug of war," as Egypt and Qatar are again playing a mediating role…

Media reports indicate the proposed pause in fighting this round would involve releasing 40 more hostages, primarily women, the elderly, and minors. Israel would release many Palestinian terrorists held in Israeli prisons, including some convicted of murder.

And we read more on this from an article in The Times Of Israel:

Qatari mediators have told Israel that Hamas “agrees in principle” to resume negotiations for the release of further hostages taken by the terror group during the October 7 atrocities, in exchange for a weeks-long truce in the Gaza Strip, the Walla news site reports.

Citing three Israeli officials, the report says Israel is responding warily to the message and stressing that it will quickly emerge whether Hamas is indeed serious.

According to the report, the talks remained centered on a proposal presented by Mossad chief David Barnea that would include the release of some 40 hostages, including women still held by Hamas, men over 60 and those with serious medical issues. In return for the hostages, Israel would halt military operations in Gaza for a week or two and release a number of Palestinian security prisoners.

The article goes on to note that it is very early in the process:

One of the Israeli officials says the Qatari message is very preliminary but describes it as a positive development.

“We move from a freeze to a situation that is very cold,” the official is quoted as saying.

Another official says Israel has yet to receive a concrete offer from Qatar and is waiting for further details, adding, “in any case the gaps remain large.”

Raising Terrorists As Children

Disturbing pictures were found showing that Hamas trained their young to fight against Israel when they discovered a wedding album with pictures of children with weapons. Here is how it was described in an article on i24news.tv:

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Friday reported raiding a house of a Hamas fighter in the outskirts of Jabalia.

Fighters of the 261st Brigade are said to have discovered a photo album with wedding pictures along with photos (of) children holding weapons.

"During the searches, military certificates of the terrorist organization Hamas, weapons, and study booklets about the IDF were located in his home," read the Israeli military's statement. "In addition, the fighters found pictures of children holding weapons, grenades and RPGs."

The IDF earlier in December revealed interrogations of captured Hamas commanders who spoke of the extensive exploitation of children for tactical purposes by Hamas during its war against Israel.

In another article from i24news.tv we read of a Hamas commander who admitted that they used children to work in the war:

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) revealed interrogations of captured Hamas commanders on Friday that have uncovered the extensive exploitation of children for tactical purposes by Hamas during its war against Israel.

Military officials revealed that kids have been used to shuttle explosives around Gaza amid urban warfare.

Hamas also dispatched children on motorcycles to gather intelligence, escorted by unarmed operatives.

Earlier on Friday, an IDF report about operations in Beit Hanoun, Gaza showed discovery of Hamas children's uniforms, weapons, and munitions alongside multiple underground tunnel systems - including one dug under a school.

Teaching them early is also known to happen:

The revelations compound concerns over long running indoctrination of Gazan youth into virulent anti-Israeli ideology.

Experts have pointed to Hamas statements, Palestinian textbooks, and Palestinian media brazenly glorifying violence against Israelis among impressionable Palestinian kids.

Another Hostage Speaks Out

Some believe that releasing more hostages will mean more news of just how they were treated. We’ve reported on the stories of them before, and now we read of another such account found in an interview in The Times Of Israel:

Released hostage Mia Schem, 21, described going through “hell” while in the Gaza Strip in a pair of televised interviews that both aired on Friday evening.

Schem was shot in the arm and taken hostage from the Supernova music festival on October 7, when thousands of Hamas-led terrorists burst into southern Israel, killing more than 1,200 people and dragging around 240 into Gaza. Some 360 partygoers were killed during the assault on the music festival, and another 36 were taken hostage.

She was released on November 30 after 54 days in captivity, reuniting with her family and loved ones, and undergoing extensive surgery and rehabilitation on her wounded arm.

Her family said she has since developed epilepsy, from the trauma and the lack of sleep during her eight weeks as a hostage in Gaza.

Schem offered this information about the civilians she encountered. Her words are similar to a mother and daughter’s experiences:

“It’s important to me to reveal the real situation about the people who live in Gaza, who they really are, and what I went through there,” she told Channel 13 news. “I experienced hell. Everyone there are terrorists… there are no innocent civilians, not one,” she said. “[Innocent civilians] don’t exist.”

She also talked about her time in a home with Hamas followers:

Then she was brought to be held in a family home, Schem told Channel 13, and that the whole family was involved with Hamas, including the woman and children.

She was kept in a room and was told she couldn’t speak, couldn’t move, couldn’t cry, couldn’t be seen, she recounted: “There’s a terrorist, who is watching you 24/7, who is raping you with his eyes… an evil stare, I was afraid of being raped. It was my biggest fear there.”

Schem said she felt only “pure hatred. There are no innocent citizens there. They’re families controlled by Hamas. They’re children who from the moment they are born, they teach them that Israel is Palestine and just to hate Jews.”

Even the doctor who treated her arm made sure to taunt her:

Schem said she didn’t see the face of the person who operated on her, but “he looked at me and he said, ‘you’re not going home alive.'”

We want to believe that there are good people in a bad situation, but accounts like this make it hard to think that.

The Psalm 83 War Is Closer Than We Know

While I know some believe the Psalm 83 war already happened, I still see signs of things developing. One of those signs in the destruction of Damascus predicted in Isaiah 17. We read in report from i24news.tv that the airport in that city was struck today:

The airstrike targeting the Damascus airport on Thursday killed 11 senior commanders of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), an Arabic-language report claimed on Friday. The attack was widely attributed to Israel, including by the leadership of its arch-enemy Iran.

The powerful IRGC is behind much of the terrorist activities carried out, sponsored or otherwise enabled by the Islamic Republic

Israel rarely comments on strikes targeting Syria, but it has repeatedly said it will not allow Iran — which backs the dictatorial government of President Bashar Assad — to expand its presence in the country.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor reported Israeli strikes near Damascus international airport on Thursday.

The attack near the airport came "one whole day after the airport resumed flights," said the British-based monitor with a network inside Syria.

We don’t know if the IDF will destroy the city of Damascus because they continue to fund and aid Hezbollah or will strike the city after an all-out attack from the north occurs first that causes Israel to retaliate. The destruction of Damascus could start the war or be part of it. Regardless, the IDF has its eyes on that airport and may have to level it if only to send Syria and Iran a message that containing Hezbollah is not an option.
