Hamas Book Club?

According to a report from i24news.tv (see https://www.i24news.tv/en/news/israel-at-war/1699782656-hitler-s-mein-kampf-found-in-hamas-base-in-gaza-israeli-president-herzog) the Israel Defense Force (IDF) found a copy of an infamous book from the days of Nazi Germany which makes sense considering how these terrorists hate Israel:

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) found a copy of Adolf Hitler's 'Mein Kampf' book in a children's room at a civilians' house in Gaza that Hamas used as a base, Israel's President Isaac Herzog on Sunday told BBC. The base with explosive laboratories is said to have been discovered recently, during the ground operation.

The Nazi manifesto was found among the personal belongings of a terrorist, according to the Israeli Presidency Spokesperson's statement. "By looking at the book, one can notice markings and underlining alongside written comments, which teach about the deepening of his life and the anti-Semitic and monstrous perception of Hitler by the terrorists."

Israel President Isaac Herzog added his comments as well:

"This book led to the Holocaust and to World War II. This book was found a few days ago in northern Gaza, in a children's room, which became a base used for terrorist activities by the terrorist organization Hamas," Herzog told BBC.

"The terrorist wrote notes, marked the sections, and studied again and again, the ideology of Adolf Hitler to hate the Jews, to kill the Jews, to burn and slaughter Jews wherever they are. This is the real war we are facing."

Countering Lies

Herzog also took time to refute Hamas information about the IDF being in the Shifa hospital which we see from the same i24news.tv report:

Herzog also addressed the disinformation spread by terrorists: "Hamas lies - there is electricity in Shifa Hospital, everything is working, we are talking to the hospital administrators. We did not enter Shifa Hospital, where unfortunately there is a huge, huge terrorist base operating underneath it. The headquarters and the entire activity headquarters of Hamas-ISIS is right below Shifa."

Herzog, from the same BBC interview found in an article from The Times Of Israel countered more misinformation from Hamas (see https://www.timesofisrael.com/herzog-arabic-copy-of-mein-kampf-found-on-hamas-terrorist-shows-what-war-is-about/) :

“There is a lot of spin by Hamas,” the president responded. “There is electricity in Shifa, everything is operating. We’re speaking to the managers. We haven’t gone into Shifa where, unfortunately, underneath Shifa, there is a huge, huge terror base, actually the headquarters, the headquarters of the Hamas ISIS operations is right there under Shifa.”

“Now exactly what are we supposed to do? Leave it as is and then in a few years’ time go again through the same motions — and you will say it’s disproportionate and we will have civilians being killed? So we are calling on all of those uninvolved to go out to another hospital nearby, and we’re coordinating it very delicately with all forces around that place.”

Also from the interview Herzog said that people wanting to evacuate are being stopped from leaving by Hamas.

Fuel Is Sent, But Hamas Hinders It

According to a report from i24news.tv, the IDF offered 300 litres of fuel to the Shifa hospital but it was blocked by Hamas (see https://www.i24news.tv/en/news/israel-at-war/1699825438-hamas-blocks-israeli-fuel-offer-for-gaza-s-shifa-hospital) :

Israel had offered fuel to Gaza's Al Shifa hospital, which suspended operations after running out of fuel, but Hamas, the jihadist group ruling over the enclave, blocked the transfer, the Israeli military said on Sunday.

"We offered to give them enough fuel to operate the hospital, because we have no battle with patients or civilians" military spokesman Daniel Hagari said on Sunday.

"Hamas is hiding in the hospitals and placing itself there, doesn't want the fuel for the hospital ... they want to get fuel that they'll take from the hospitals to their tunnels, to their war machine."

We also read from the same article that the IDF is working to evacuate the hospital, but with terrorist headquarters right below it, getting everyone out is difficult:

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Sunday that it would allow passage from several hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip, so the population could move southward for protection.

Following repeated calls for residents to evacuate from the northern area of the Gaza Strip for their own protection, in view of the military activity taking place in the area, the IDF said in a statement that the new passage would be open for Al-Shifa, Ranteesi, and Nasser.

“IDF soldiers opened and secured a passage which enables the civilian population to evacuate, on foot and by ambulances, from the Shifa, Rantisi and Nasser hospitals,” the statement added.

Making The Northern Front Safe

According to a report from The Times Of Israel (see https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog-november-12-2023/?utm_source=article_hpsidebar&utm_medium=desktop_site&utm_campaign=liveblog_entry) :

the IDF will make areas on their northern border ready for people to return:

IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari says Israel will “change the security situation in the north” amid repeated attacks by the Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group and allied Palestinian factions.

“The security situation will not remain in a way where residents of the north will not feel safe to return to their homes,” Hagari says.

Hagari goes on to say this about the constant attacks by Hezbollah, who he says will be held accountable for the current instability:

He says Hezbollah and the Lebanese government will bear responsibility for any attacks from Lebanon.

“Lebanese citizens will pay the price of this lawlessness, and the decision of Hezbollah to be the protector of ISIS,” Hagari says, referring to Hamas as the jihadist organization.

I must also say that I truly pray that Hezbollah stays out of the conflict and stops its attacks from the north. I have my suspicions that they will get impatient and up the attacks which will force the Israel Air Force (IAF) to come in guns blazing. Again, I would prefer that not happen, however the chatter I’ve noticed is that the IDF is not going do anything more than protect that border unless thing heat up more there.

Lord, again we read in the Torah portion a declaration that Israel will "possess the gate of those who hate them" (Gen. 24:60a), and so we pray for You to fulfill this word in Gaza at this time.

  • Continue to guide Israel's war against Hamas until total victory (2 Sam. 23:12; Isa. 30:21).
  • Give the IDF the equipment, courage, wisdom, protection and rest that is needed (Zech. 12:4-12).
  • Provide the needs of every soldier's family and friends anxiously waiting at home (1 Sam. 30:24).
  • Guard Israel's soldiers against friendly fire or other deadly accidents (Psa. 91:4; 140:7).
  • Direct their footsteps through the hazardous territories in Gaza (Psa. 32:8; Isa. 30:21).

  • Guide Israel to successfully free the hostages (Isa. 49:9; Zech. 9:11-12), and at the same time let it war against Hamas as if there were no hostages (Ex. 17:14; Num. 23:24; 24:8-9).
  • Anoint Israel's intelligence services with heavenly wisdom to interpret correctly all data gathered from Gaza, Judea and Samaria, as well as from Lebanon (Job 12:22; Prov. 15:3; Obad. 1:6).
  • Protect and use believing soldiers and pour out on them many of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, so that even words of wisdom and gifts of healings are manifested on the battlefield (1 Cor. 12:4-11).
  • Lord God, show Israel's leaders – and us (Amos 3:7) – what You desire to accomplish for Your holy name's sake both during, and especially after, this war (Job 21:30; Jer. 10:25; Obad. 1:15-20).
  • Strengthen Israel against the pressure from most nations to continue to just say "No" to a ceasefire before Hamas is defeated and the hostages are freed (Job 5:12; Isa. 14:24, 27).
  • Expose the exaggerated figures given by the Palestinians of how many of them live in Gaza, Judea and Samaria and their inflated numbers of how many have actually died in the war (Isa. 44:24-25).
  • Prohibit Israel from ever handing Gaza over to the Palestinian Authority, as they are a major part of the problem and need to be disbanded as soon as possible (Luke 11:24-26).
  • Gaza is part of Judah's inheritance, so let Israel repossess it (Josh. 15:1, 47; Judg. 1:18; Obad. 1:17).
