Israel At War Day 681
No Land For Peace
A Moving Experience
As expected, the Israel Defense Force is preparing to relocate Gazans to the south as their northern offensive gears up as we’re told in a report from The Times Of Israel:
Gaza residents will be provided with tents and other shelter equipment starting from Sunday ahead of relocating them from combat zones to safe ones in the south of the enclave, the IDF announced on Saturday.
These preparations are needed, but still not accepted by international community that is by and large antisemitic:
This comes days after Israel said it intended to launch a new offensive to seize control of northern Gaza City, the enclave's largest urban center, in a plan that raised international alarm over the fate of the demolished strip, home to about 2.2 million people.
These civilians will be treated better than Hamas treats them now, something that isn’t published in the lamestream media. Instead of the terrorists looting and raiding humanitarian aid trucks before they can be distributed, they will be the aid freely and without the threats of harm they experience now. Netanyahu stated that before the heavy military fighting begins these people will go to safe places:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday said that before launching the offensive, the civilian population will be evacuated to what he described as "safe zones" from Gaza City, which he called Hamas' last stronghold.
The supplies needed will be moved by the international community after it’s inspected by the IDF:
The shelter equipment will be transferred via the Kerem Shalom crossing in southern Gaza by the United Nations and other international relief organizations after being inspected by defense ministry personnel, the military said.
The IDF didn’t specify the exact area when asked:
The military declined to comment when asked whether the shelter equipment was intended for Gaza City's population estimated at around one million people presently, and whether the site to which they will be relocated in southern Gaza would be the area of Rafah, which borders Egypt.
As for the attacks in the north, those exact plans are still being tweaked:
Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Saturday that the plans for the new offensive were still being formulated.
Still the surrounding areas are being targeted and cleared:
However, the IDF has already increased operations on the outskirts of Gaza City over the past week. Residents in the neighborhoods of Zeitorun and Shejaia have reported heavy Israeli aerial and tank fire which has destroyed many houses. The Israeli military on Friday said that it had begun a new operation in Zeitun to locate explosives, destroy tunnels and kill terrorists in the area.
If Hamas wants a ceasefire it sure might want to get serious about those talks. The IDF is certainly serious about taking back Gaza.
Two State Suicide
In an article from CBN.com Netanyahu makes Israel is against a two-state solution:
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is pushing back against international pressure for a Palestinian state, calling it an act of "national suicide." Despite strong criticism from the U.N. and others, Israel announced a large housing project for Jewish residents of the West Bank.
Netanyahu gives us his opinion invoking a familiar lesson from history:
Netanyahu offered a history lesson Thursday on why the two-state solution for Israel and the Palestinians is a deadly mistake. Netanyahu noted that "Before World War II, the Western countries tried to appease Hitler."
He elaborated, "Well, today the West is telling Israel, 'Just give the Palestinians a piece of Israel and they'll make peace with you.' No, they won't. For the last century, they've been offered a state of their own. And they refused, because their goal is not to create a state for themselves, it's to destroy the state of ours, the Jewish state. That's their national goal. So we're not going to – we're not going to commit national suicide."
The PM won’t back down as plans for a large amount of homes being built in Judea and Samaria:
The prime minister refuses to bow to critics on several levels, including a controversial plan to build thousands of homes for Israeli Jewish residents in Judea and Samaria – a move that buries the idea of a Palestinian state and is drawing fire from the United Nations, which claims it violates international law. Netanyahu was backed up by his finance minister, Bezalel Smotrich, who declared, “Anyone who tries to, today in the world, to recognize a Palestinian state will receive an answer from us on the ground...in the form of houses, the facts of neighborhoods, roads, and more and more Jewish families building lives."
Meanwhile a Harvard Law professor is critical of Gazans getting a state of their own:
"Let them work for it," he told us. "Make sure it's done as part of a negotiated deal to require them to give up something and to create some kind of quid pro quo. But, no. France and England, and other countries, are saying, 'We’re going to give you something for nothing. We’re not going to make you do anything when not even asking you to return hostages.'"
They are really rewarding Hamas for their actions on October 7th of 2023 and he thanks Christians for pushing back:
Dershowitz believes the war in Gaza is at a critical point. "The clear message that's being sent by the international community is: Use terrorism. It works," he said. And that message has dangerous implications. The professor recently came face-to-face with antisemitism when he told us he was refused service by a vendor in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, for wearing a T-shirt that read, "Proud Zionist."
"The support of Christians, evangelical Christians, Christians of every denomination, couldn't be more important," he stated. "I have to tell you that is as important as the Iron Dome is. The Iron Dome of Christianity has probably done more to protect Israel from the oppression and hatred than almost any military weapon. The Bible commands human beings to exercise their free will: 'I have placed before you the choice between life and death, between blessing and curse. Therefore, choose life.' And Hamas has chosen death. And the international community has chosen to reward the choice of death rather than the choice of life," Dershowitz commented.
If only the world could see this as clearly as Dershowitz.
