Israel At War Day 673

Opposing Plans

We Know Their Plan

The Israelis security cabinet heard opposing plans and decided to support Prime Minister Netanyahu’s plan as we read in the Jewish News Syndicate:

The Israeli Security Cabinet decided by a “decisive majority” to approve Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan to defeat Hamas, including controlling Gaza City, the premier’s office said shortly before 5 a.m. on Friday.

That was one long meeting, but in the end the majority went with the PM:

“A decisive majority of Security Cabinet ministers believed that the alternative plan that had been submitted to the Security Cabinet would neither achieve the defeat of Hamas nor the return of the hostages,” according to Netanyahu’s office.

With the voting done it is now up to the Israel Defense Force (IDF) to implement the plan:

The Israel Defense Forces will prepare for “taking control of Gaza City, while distributing humanitarian assistance to the civilian population outside the combat zones,” the Prime Minister’s Office said.

The humanitarian aid will expand using the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF):

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee on Wednesday confirmed there will soon be a significant increase in the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’s aid distribution footprint in the Strip.

“The immediate plan is to scale up the number of sites up to 16 and begin to operate as much as 24 hours a day to get more food to more people more efficiently,” the diplomat said on Fox News.

The new offensive is based on five points:

Netanyahu’s office said on Friday that the forum voted on five principles: disarming Hamas, returning all of the living and dead hostages, demilitarizing Gaza, Israeli security control of the Strip and creating an “alternative civil administration that is neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority.”

Netanyahu said that they intend to take over Gaza militarily as they rid the area of Hamas and then turn over the area to a “non-hostile” government. He says they don’t intend to “keep” it but let Arab forces take over. On that point I don’t think they will be able to find any Arabs who haven’t stated that they don’t hate Jews or the nation of Israel. If they can find one it will be a miracle, but I digress. It sounds good on paper and may please some people, but the only people who should be in charge of that land are the people God gave it to, period. And I see that happening out of all this regardless of even what Netanyahu says.

The military signaled they will begin their assessment:

Zamir noted that in the coming days the IDF will deepen operational planning, while maintaining troop safety and endurance—all with the goal of creating the conditions for the return of the hostages and the dismantling of Hamas’s rule, the IDF said in a statement.

We’ll see how this turns out, but I can tell you that the hostages don’t have 4-5 months. They only have weeks if the conditions of the two hostage videos are any indication.

Hamas Has Plans

In many ways, Hamas and their demands put Israel in this position to take back the area. If you don’t know here are the demands they made that essentially ended the last round of negotiations:

Hamas has outlined the following demands to end the war:

  • Release of the terrorists responsible for the October 7 massacre and rapes.
  • A plan for the release of additional hostages in Gaza, with the pace tied to "rehabilitation progress" (i.e., the final hostage will only be released after significant reconstruction in Gaza, such as completing two buildings).
  • Complete withdrawal of the IDF from Gaza, including no security buffer zone near Israeli communities.
  • Release of all Palestinian terrorists from Israeli prisons, including the most dangerous.
  • Rejection of any plan requiring Hamas to surrender weapons or demilitarize Gaza.

As you can see these demands would simply mean that Israel goes back to the way things were before Hamas attacked and even worse because all terrorists in Israeli prisons would be released. And then the hostages would only be released after reconstruction of Gaza is underway and only as Hamas deems which in the example would be two buildings. That is likely years away from happening and I might add on Israel’s dime not theirs. No penalty for killing 1,200 Israelis and taking 250 hostages which they killed and are still starving. Israel would have to live with that kind of enemy right on their doorstep again without them giving up weapons. Now you can see why the US and Israel walked away from the table. And you can clearly see why the next offensive will end Hamas rule and end Hamas as well. They have played their last card and it’s a losing one. Just because these vile excuses for people think they’re winning in the court of public opinion doesn’t mean that will stop the IDF from defeating them. As we know from Bible prophecy, antisemitism will only keep getting worse so no matter what Israel does will not be liked. The UN will scream and yell, countries who have already sold out to radical Muslims inside their borders will demand a Palestinian state at the expense of the safety of Jews. But God tells us in various prophecies that Gazans have forfeited their right to the land (see Zephaniah 2:4-7) and it will be given back to the remnant of Judah. Damascus will be destroyed (see Isaiah 17:1) and Hezbollah will be taken out (see Zechariah 9:2-4). It will happen, we just don’t know how or when. Israel has a plan, Hamas has a plan, but God’s plans will trump them all.
