Israel At War Day 657

Psychological Games

Hamas Isn’t Serious

We’re told in a report from The Jerusalem Post that the mediators were not pleased with Hamas’ recent response concerning a ceasefire:

Hamas has yet to deliver an official response to the Israeli proposal that was submitted a week ago and is now raising new demands on issues that had already been resolved, an Israeli official told The Jerusalem Post on Wednesday.

The new demands were not even sent to Israel:

The hostage-ceasefire deal mediators refused to relay Hamas’s response to Israel’s proposed deal on Tuesday, saying it was not a serious answer, two people familiar with the matter told the Post.

The negotiators apparently told Hamas to come back when they are serious:

At a meeting with representatives from Qatar and Egypt in Doha on Tuesday, Hamas officials responded to the framework.

“This is not a serious response,” the mediators told them, according to the informed sources. “Go back and draft a new one.”

The Gazan terrorists seem to think they can get a better deal as they are wanting changes to issues already agreed upon:

Hamas has backtracked on several issues that were already agreed upon, including humanitarian matters, an Israeli official said.

According to Hamas’s response on Tuesday, it is demanding that all humanitarian aid enter the Gaza Strip exclusively through the auspices of the United Nations.

This makes total sense since they need the aid to come through the UN who supports their cause and won’t demand that they take what they want and sell the rest to the Gazans at exorbitant prices. Then they decided to want changes to the places where the IDF remains deployed and even the amount of terrorists they get in return:

Hamas has also reneged on its position regarding key points related to the deployment of Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip during the proposed 60-day ceasefire period, as well as on the number of Palestinian terrorists to be released in the deal, the Israeli official said.

The negotiators who are more than sympathetic to Hamas since they let them live in their countries and even give money to them are actually getting tired of their petty games:

During a tense meeting on Tuesday, the mediators told the Hamas leaders: “If you don’t return with a serious response, your problem will be with us – the mediators,” according to a person familiar with the matter.

Put More Pressure On Them

The US for their part are wanting the negotiators to push Hamas to agree more with the Israeli positions, positions that I still think are way too generous even now:

The Trump administration has conveyed to both Qatar and Egypt that they must pressure Hamas to move closer to the Israeli position and advance a hostage deal in which 10 Israeli hostages will be released together with the bodies of 18 Israelis murdered by the terrorists.

According to the US negotiator the Hamas tactics are costing the lives of Gazans:

Bishara Bahbah, US President Donald Trump’s Palestinian American mediator and envoy in Qatar, said Hamas’s stalling tactics were costing dozens of Palestinian lives every day.

He went on to note that Hamas has no real logic for taking so much time in responding:

“There is no convincing reason for the delay in responding, nor for demanding nonessential changes, especially considering this is a 60-day negotiation period with no casualties and no bloodshed, during which all details will be discussed,” he said.

Bahbah then said that the time for playing games is over:

“Enough with the stalling and continued bloodshed,” Bahbah said. “We must move forward toward a deal that enables all parties to negotiate under American guarantees in order to reach a permanent ceasefire.”

While all these diplomats are puzzled, I’m not. The terrorists are taught how to negotiate from Iran and even history and they know the playbook well. Stall until enough pressure is put on Israel to bend even more than they have. Let the lamestream lap dogs continue to gin up how bad the conditions are in Gaza when literally boat loads of aid sit waiting to get in. We hear this from the Telegram channel of Amir Tsarfati:

The contents of about 950 food trucks inspected and approved by Israel are rotting on the Gaza side of the Kerem Shalom crossing because the UN refuses to distribute them.

The Humanitarian Aid Fund (GHF) today offered the UN to distribute the aid on its behalf free of charge - and the UN refused. The UN, in cooperation with Hamas, is starving the population of the Gaza Strip while simultaneously promoting the false campaign of "hunger in the Strip."

The joint goal of the UN and Hamas: to force the dissolution of the Aid Fund and gain exclusive UN control over the entry of food, so that almost all of it will reach Hamas instead of the Gaza population.

Then they use Hamas accounts of how bad things are from people who live in luxury eating fruit that is very expensive to get. Thankfully the IDF released pictures and videos of how these terrorist live underground so we know they’re not starving. And then we see families practicing their lines for the camera seeing the children laughing at them. So many news sites are blaring that the starvation in Gaza is at genocidal levels so I tend to think that Hamas feels Israel will give in with so much criticism of them on this front. As we pray for the peace of Jerusalem pray that the truth will get out there and Hamas will take the blame of the aid not getting to the people and the UN for being complicit in the charade.
