Israel At War Day 605

Give Them What They Want

Fact Checked And False

You may have heard that the Israel Defense Force (IDF) shot into a crowd of Gazans at an aid distribution site. Well the agency in charge doesn’t agree with those accounts and has proof the stories are fake as we read in a report from The Jerusalem Post:

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) distribution center in Rafah denied on Sunday claims that the IDF attacked a food distribution point near Rafah, contradicting widely circulated Hamas reports.

Some news agencies relied on “eyewitnesses” or Hamas themselves to report on the the violence from the IDF, but some actually went to the GFH who says it was business as usual and they had video evidence to back their assertion:

Security camera footage from Sunday's aid distribution site shows calm civilian activity, with no incidents reported. Aid was delivered without disruption, and the available evidence does not support claims of injuries or fatalities. While some media outlets have reported these allegations, others have contacted the organization to verify the facts, the GHF stated.

Israel also denied the allegations and encouraged reporters to better research their stories before releasing them:

The IDF on Sunday denied the reports it fired at civilians near a humanitarian aid distribution site in Gaza, calling the allegations false based on an initial investigation. The IDF emphasized its cooperation with GHF and international aid groups to ensure aid reaches Gaza’s residents — not Hamas. The military accused Hamas of deliberately obstructing food distribution, harming civilians, and using starvation as a tool to maintain control. The IDF also urged media outlets to verify information carefully, warning against reliance on Hamas-sourced claims.

There was military action needed but it was not near the distribution site and not during the operational hours:

An IDF source reportedly clarified that during the night, roughly one kilometer from the humanitarian aid distribution area and outside its operating hours, troops took action to prevent several suspects from approaching their position. Evasive fire was allegedly directed at individuals advancing toward the forces. The military stressed that this incident is entirely unrelated to the false allegations of IDF fire at civilians near the aid site, according to the source.

The GFH issued a statement denying the confrontation even happened:

Following the incident, the GHF denied claims of casualties and injuries at the aid distribution sites. "All aid was distributed today without incident. No injuries or fatalities. We have heard that these fake reports have been actively fomented by Hamas. They are untrue and fabricated," GHF noted.

A Lot Of Food Was Provided

The GHF said that they gave out a lot of food:

The US-backed group said on Sunday that it had distributed over 4.7 million meals within six days.

They stated that there is still thievery going on:

"We’re scaling up as quickly as possible, but the truth is stark: for every truck we successfully bring into our network, other humanitarian groups are being looted before reaching those in need."

They did add that they will set up more sites going forward:

GHF says it will continue to grow operations, including in northern Gaza

The actual numbers at one site is promising and they will build more sites in the north:

GHF said that it distributed 16 truckloads of food in Tel Sultan, totaling 15,360 boxes, around 887,040 meals.

They noted that they will increase operations and build additional sites across Gaza, including in the northern Gaza Strip, in the weeks ahead.

On Thursday, the GHF opened its third food distribution center, located in central Gaza. Two other food centers previously opened near Rafah in deep southern Gaza, and one more is still due to open in Khan Yunis in mid-southern Gaza.

Unfortunately there are still some major news agencies repeating the lies and we’re told from an article from i24news.tv that Hamas is the one shooting at Gazans to keep them from getting aid:

IDF drone footage captured reveals armed and masked individuals hurling rocks and firing at Gazan civilians attempting to collect looted humanitarian aid in southern Khan Yunis.

If we need proof of Hamas keeping food from Gazans there is a report from an X account that on May 28th that shows just that. The profile posted this:

This is Hamas’s warehouse in central Gaza — full of food, kept away from the civilians.

People stormed in. Hamas opened fire.

The Gazans themselves are praising GHF for getting food to them and are cursing at Hamas for trying their best to stop them from getting that help. Hamas is losing control in Gaza and they are desperate to fight the GHF. In spite of their efforts, the aid is getting to the people and the terrorists and their sympathizers are resorting to lying to keep them in power. But it’s not working. Please pray that Israel will not give in to pressure to take a bad deal to get the hostages back and keep taking back territory as well as providing humanitarian aid directly to the people. Pray that the IDF with maybe help from the US rescues all the hostages thereby leaving Hamas with no leverage to get a ceasefire whether it’s temporary or permanent. Then and only then will Hamas get the one thing they would be happy to get: becoming martyrs.
