Terrorism Is Spreading

As Israel systematically dismantles Hamas in Gaza and continues to dispatch the terrorist threat of Hezbollah and even take out Iran’s nuclear facilities, those who support terrorism around the world appear to be targeting Jews abroad as seen in the murders of a couple in Washington, DC. We read more on that and how it could affect the rest of the globe in an article from the Jewish News Syndicate:

For the past 19 months, angry mobs have taken over college campuses and the streets of major American cities. These demonstrations, tent encampments and building takeovers have not just been expressions of opposition to Israel’s efforts to eradicate the Hamas terrorists who led the Palestinian Arab assault on southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023. They have also often been indicative of the protesters’ support for Hamas and the embrace of terrorist goals, as well as their antisemitism—something that was made obvious by the way they have targeted Jews during the course of their “activism.”

The problem among others is that these antisemitic protests aren’t being condemned:

Yet rather than being isolated and widely condemned, these pro-Hamas activists and demonstrators have been cheered by many in the media and even rationalized by former President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as their party’s left-wing leaders, who spoke of them as idealists who “deserved to be heard” and validated, even if they disagreed with some of what they were saying.

Unfortunately the talk often turns to action:

In doing so, they were ignoring the warning signs that the pro-Hamas movement was more than just mainstreaming Jew-hatred in discourse. As has been the case throughout history, those who speak of their support for terrorism elsewhere often wind up committing it at home.

If we needed an example we got one yesterday in the US capitol:

After the tragic murder on Wednesday night of two young Israeli embassy staffers outside an American Jewish Committee event at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., it’s obvious that this is also the case with those who embraced the war against Israel’s existence.

There is much we don’t yet know about the accused murderer, who was apprehended at the scene. But the targeting of Israelis at a Jewish site, as well as the fact that police have reported that the assailant shouted “Free, free Palestine”—the same expression heard at countless pro-Hamas and anti-Israel rallies since Oct. 7—leads to an inevitable conclusion.

And if Hamas is destroyed expect more of the same:

It didn’t take long for words to turn into action—from being willing to demonize Israelis, falsely accuse them of “genocide” or “apartheid,” and rationalize or even support the barbarous murderers, rapists and kidnappers of Hamas, and then condoning or rationalizing violence against Jews and Israelis on American soil.

The Media Will Play It Down

Already the lamestream media is downplaying the antisemitism of the murders when it doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to make the connection:

We will be told in the coming days that the bloodshed in Washington has nothing to do with “criticism” of Israel or its policies.

There will be distinctions made between what will be described as “mostly peaceful” pro-Hamas demonstrations and the murder. The groups that have organized those protests and engaged in antisemitic acts of intimidation, and even violence, will likely condemn the murder as they continue to smear Israel and its supporters. And, as has been the case with those who oppose the Trump administration’s efforts to combat antisemitism on college campuses and to deport those foreign students who have violated the terms of their visas and green cards by engaging in illegal activities, we will be told that the nation’s priority should be to defend the free speech of Hamas supporters and antisemites. Concern for the rights and welfare of these Israel-haters will be voiced, especially by left-wing Jewish groups.

And there already are as evidenced by an article found from Honest Reporting:

It’s no coincidence that two Israeli embassy staffers attending an American Jewish Committee (AJC) event were murdered outside Washington DC’s Jewish museum… by a man shouting “free, free Palestine” as he was taken into police custody. The motive was clear, but the media dropped the ball. Several headlines suggested that Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim were killed in a random shooting when this was anything but.

The article them cited examples from their X account:

Hey, @Reuters, it's an antisemitic attack on a specifically Jewish target, not a mugging gone wrong. The gunman shot dead Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim outside the Jewish Museum.

The Reuters report left out the antisemitic angle. And then there was this one:

It wasn't a "Washington DC shooting," @BBCNews. It was an attack targeting Jewish attendees at a Jewish organization's event held at a Jewish museum.

Stop whitewashing what was behind the horrific murders of Yaron Lischinsky & Sarah Lynn Milgrim -- antisemitic anti-Israel hate.

The BBC then took things further by blaming the killings on Israel’s actions:

In a later “analysis,” the BBC’s Yolande Knell even went so far as to effectively blame the murders on Israel’s conduct during its ongoing war against Hamas in Gaza.

What's this? Just @BBCNews "analysis" effectively blaming Israel's conduct for the murder of its two embassy staff. Criticism, however harsh, doesn't lead to murder. Incitement and hate do.

Disgusting that @YolandeKnell, in justifying evil, can't tell the difference.

The folks at Honest Reporting also took issue with another news agency for trying to connect a specific incident in Israel:

The Daily Beast took its own liberties, making a predictable connection and justification for the brutal killing of the two Israeli embassy staffers to the unfortunate incident in Jenin on Wednesday, where the IDF fired warning shots in the air in the vicinity of a delegation of foreign diplomats who were visiting the area. There is absolutely nothing that can justify antisemitic violence; the connection to the Jenin incident is a reach.

Another Horrendous Connection

If you try, you can find a lot more of the media’s not only not making the connection to this couple being targeted because they were Jewish but actually justifying their deaths and even making the killer’s actions a rallying cry for more violence as we read in a post by Susan Abulhawa on her X account:

Natural logic: when governments fail to hold Israel accountable for an actual holocaust being committed before our very eyes, no genocidal Zionist should be safe anywhere in the world. What Mr. Rodriguez did should come as no surprise. In fact, I’m surprised it has not happened sooner. Human beings with a conscience literally cannot bear to witness such evil day and day out being inflicted upon the bodies, minds, and futures of an utterly defenseless people, by such a hateful, racist, colonial state.

No genocidal Zionist should be safe anywhere in the world? Really? This couple’s killing is now the natural consequence of Israel defending itself against Hamas? When you pound the drum enough with the same hate beat people will start acting on it. The killer Elias Hernandez should not ever be considered a hero for taking the lives of these two innocent people whose only crime is being Jewish. But as we see that constant droning about how evil Israel is and how badly they are treating the Palestinians including Hamas is working. Hernandez yelled “Free, free Palestine” on the sight so it’s not difficult to make the connections. Unfortunately the violence will not stop until it is just as constantly condemned without the “but Israel” or “but Jews” following the condemnations. It is not justified. Ever. Period. Wake up Christians. When they’re done with the Jews they’ll turn their vitriol on you.
