Israel At War – Day 187
Israel’s Response If Iran Attacks
A Strange Way To Mourn
Some people would be outraged by an army killing their sons and grandchildren, but a high ranking leader of Hamas who was their father and grandfather was honored as we read in an article from The Times Of Israel:
Israel on Wednesday killed three sons of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in a strike in the northern Gaza Strip, saying they were operatives in the terror group. Two of Haniyeh’s grandchildren were also killed in the attack and a third was wounded, Hamas media said.
The three sons — Hazem, Amir and Mohammad — were killed after the car they were driving in was struck in Gaza City’s Shati camp, Hamas said.
The deaths were first reported by Al Jazeera and then confirmed by Haniyeh himself and Hamas.
They were targeted because they were planning a terrorist activity:
The IDF and Shin Bet later confirmed killing the three men, saying they were operatives in the terror group. According to the IDF and Shin Bet, Amir Haniyeh was a squad commander in the Hamas military wing, while Hazem and Mohammad Haniyeh were lower-ranking operatives, also in the military wing.
The IDF said that the trio were “en route to carry out terror activity in the area of central Gaza” when they were struck.
Haniyeh reacted this way when informed of their deaths:
Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas who is largely based in Qatar, confirmed their deaths in comments to Al Jazeera, telling the news outlet that he “thank[s] God for bestowing upon us the honor of their martyrdom.”
In a phone interview broadcast on the TV network, the terror leader vowed that the group will not surrender, and that such actions will not make it change its goals and its demands in hostage release talks.
He went on to say that their deaths will only inspire Hamas to fight on:
“Their pure blood is for the liberation of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, and we will continue to march on our road, and will not hesitate and will not falter,” Haniyeh said. “With their blood, we bring about hope, a future and freedom for our people and our cause.”
“Our demands are clear and specific and we will not make concessions on them. The enemy will be delusional if it thinks that targeting my sons, at the climax of the negotiations and before the movement sends its response, will push Hamas to change its position,” he told the TV station, adding that “the blood of my sons is not dearer than the blood of our people.”
According to the report, Prime Minister Netanyahu and the war cabinet were told ahead of time of the strike:
According to Hebrew media reports, the strike on Haniyeh’s three sons was not discussed in the war cabinet ahead of time, despite the sensitive timing as Israel is still awaiting an official Hamas response to the latest hostage deal offer.
An Israeli official told The Times of Israel that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant were not informed in advance of the strike. A source told Kan news that the strike could jeopardize the ongoing talks.
IDF Will Strike Iran’s Nuclear Sites
Iran was talking about an imminent attack on Israel because they assassinated high ranking members of their army but appear to be backing down some after the United States threatened to support Israel if they did. However, Israel has a response if Iran does attack as we read in an article from The Times Of Israel:
Following last week’s strike in Damascus and threats of retaliation from Iranian officials, Israel has signaled that it will attack targets in Iran if it were to launch a direct attack, according to an Arab report Monday.
Iran appears to opting for Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthi rebels in Yemen to do their dirty work:
Unnamed US intelligence sources told CNN, however, that Iran is unlikely to attack Israel directly out of fear of American and Israeli reprisal, and will instead urge its various proxies in the region to launch attacks on its behalf in the coming days.
But if Iran were to strike, the IDF said they would bomb Iranian nuclear sites in response:
Citing an anonymous “Western security official,” the London-based Elaph News reported that Israel has been conducting air force drills in recent days that include preparing to target Iranian nuclear facilities and other key infrastructure.
And now we have a scenario where an attack in the exact area prophesied in Jeremiah 49 will happen. Jeremiah 49:35 predicts Elam (Iran) gets struck at the “foremost of its might,” which if unfulfilled as of yet, could allude to its nuclear program. The next verse says the Elamites (Iranians) will be scattered out of the immediate area into world nations.:
Thus says the LORD of hosts: “Behold, I will break the bow of, The foremost of their might. Against Elam I will bring the four winds From the four quarters of heaven, And scatter them toward all those winds; There shall be no nations where the outcasts of Elam will not go. (Jeremiah 49:35-36, NKJV)
Is Nuclear Fallout Predicted?
Jeremiah 49:35 predicts Elam (Iran) gets struck at the “foremost of its might,” which if unfulfilled as of yet, could allude to its nuclear program. The next verse says the Elamites (Iranians) will be scattered out of the immediate area into world nations. Jeremiah predicts that Elam will be struck at the foremost place of its strength. If such an attack occurred in the near future that would probably be its nuclear site(s). Not necessarily all sites, but specifically sites existing within the boundaries of ancient Elam. A prime target would be the Bushehr nuclear site. Subsequently, the prophet warns that after the attack the affected populations are forced to scatter from the area. Jeremiah says, “There shall be no nations where the outcasts of Elam will not go.” This could be the result of Iranian’s attempting to flee from an isolated nuclear disaster. Should the Bushehr nuclear reactor be struck, this becomes a very real possibility because the facility is loaded with Russian supplied fuel rods. These rods were loaded during the summer of 2010. At the time former UN Ambassador John Bolton warned that once the rods were loaded in place, an attack upon the site could result in severe radioactive fallout.
As I’ve been saying from the start, an attack on Iran’s nuclear capacity will be part of this current war and now you’re hearing how it could happen. We’re living in Biblical times, times when prophecy is being fulfilled right before our eyes. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem more now than the day before as Iran and its proxies are not going to stay silent for much longer.
