A History of Cheapened Life
Before there was a trafficking industry, there was a lie - that some human lives are worth less than others, or worth nothing at all. Scripture says the opposite from its very first chapter: "So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them" (Genesis 1:27). Every human being - born or unborn, free or enslaved, rich or poor - carries that image. David makes the point personal, writing of his own formation in the womb: "For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:13-14).
The ancient world routinely violated that truth. In Canaan, children were burned as offerings to the god Molech, a practice God named explicitly in His law: "And you shall not let any of your descendants pass through the fire to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I am the LORD" (Leviticus 18:21). In the Greek and Roman world centuries later, unwanted infants - especially girls - were legally exposed, left outside to die or to be gathered up by slave traders who raised them for the sex trade or forced labor. It was not fringe behavior. It was ordinary, accepted, and legal.
Early Christians were known for refusing to go along with it. Writers like Tertullian condemned the practice publicly, and believers gained a reputation for rescuing exposed infants and raising them as their own - a direct, costly application of "Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter" (Proverbs 24:11).
The specific practices have changed over the centuries - from the exposure pits of Rome, to the auction blocks of the transatlantic slave trade that men like William Wilberforce spent a lifetime fighting, to the trafficking networks operating today. But the underlying sin has never changed: treating an image-bearer of God as property to be bought, sold, used, or discarded. That is the backdrop against which the following prophetic words should be read.
A Pattern in the Prophetic
Scripture is clear that darkness cannot stay hidden forever. "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them" (Ephesians 5:11). Jesus said it even more directly: "For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light" (Luke 8:17).
In recent years, a striking number of prophetic voices - independent of one another, ministering from different countries and different platforms - have described a coming season in which human trafficking networks are exposed, dismantled, and brought to justice. The following four words are worth considering against that ancient pattern of exploitation and against Scripture itself.
Barry Wunsch: "Woe to Those Who Traffic My Children"
On December 26, 2022, Canadian prophet Barry Wunsch shared a word he said he received at 3:12 in the morning, originally directed at the cartels of Mexico but widening into a broader warning about trafficking itself:
"Woe to those who traffic My children. I am bringing justice to the weak, the poor and the vulnerable. My children are not a commodity! It would be better to tie a millstone around your neck and be tossed into the sea than bring harm unto My children! Your days are numbered. Rest assured, I will not let this go unaddressed! Those that have held open the gates for your trafficking and have looked the other way are being held to account!"
The millstone language echoes Jesus's own warning about those who harm children: "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea" (Matthew 18:6). Wunsch isn't just describing exposure - he's describing accountability, for traffickers and for the ones who looked away.
Amanda Grace: "The Largest Trafficking Scheme"
On August 25, 2025, Amanda Grace of Ark of Grace Ministries delivered a word tying financial corruption directly to trafficking:
"The implosions from within are imminent, says the Lord; the greatest scandals of the decade are set to be exposed in this time, says the Lord. Fraud at the highest levels, laundering at the highest levels, trafficking, says the Lord. The largest trafficking scheme to ever be caught and exposed is on the cusp of coming to the light."
The pairing of financial corruption with trafficking is not incidental - Scripture consistently ties exploitation of the vulnerable to ill-gotten wealth. "He who oppresses the poor to increase his riches, and he who gives to the rich, will surely come to poverty" (Proverbs 22:16).
Julie Green: "Children Will Be Discovered"
On July 24, 2026, Julie Green of Julie Green Ministries International released a word naming a specific location - Rome - as a hub for hidden trafficking:
"Something significant is going to take place in Rome to expose not only what the globalists have been hiding there but how they use this location against the United States, what is underground in Rome that affects the world, and how Rome is another hub for many things the globalists do under the radar. Children will be discovered and will be freed from the trafficking that happens in Rome. These predators all over the world have no idea the devastation and destruction that are coming their way because of what they have done to the little children. I have judged the world and cities before because of their perversion, and it is happening again in unprecedented ways. Many child traffickers in Europe will be arrested, and children will be saved. My children, the war against trafficking is growing in intensity and so is the war against the drug cartels. More will be arrested."
Green frames this as a pattern consistent with God's past judgment on cities given over to perversion - a direct echo of "Then the LORD rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah" (Genesis 19:24), which she references explicitly in her own supporting scripture list for this word.
Hank Kunneman: "A Great Exposing"
On New Year's Eve heading into 2026, Hank Kunneman of Lord of Hosts Church delivered a word connecting a coming geopolitical shift to the exposure of trafficking:
"I said that there would be a ceasefire, that will be brought to peace. I have not changed my mind. And you will see conquests brought between Russia and between Ukraine, but there will be a great exposing, for this is what they're afraid of. There have been handshakes and deals and trails of money and the touching of the children and the trafficking thereof that shall be revealed, for this is the hour to bring conflicts to a place of exposing that I may bring conquest and victory."
Later in the same message, Kunneman adds: "And in this, the perpetrators who have harmed the children shall be brought to justice, says the living God."
The theme of hidden things surfacing during conflict and upheaval is a familiar biblical pattern - the same one behind "For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light" (Luke 8:17) referenced above.
Testing the Word, Answering the Call
Four prophets, four different platforms, four different dates - yet a single theme: trafficking exposed, children rescued, and those responsible held to account. Scripture instructs believers to "test all things; hold fast what is good" (1 Thessalonians 5:21) and to "not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God" (1 John 4:1). These words should be watched, weighed, and measured against how events actually unfold - not simply accepted because they were spoken with confidence.
But here is what doesn’t require a fulfilled prophecy to act on: God's heart for the trafficked and the exploited is not in question. Scripture already commands it plainly: "Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appointed to die. Open your mouth, judge righteously, plead the cause of the poor and needy" (Proverbs 31:8-9). Whatever becomes of these specific words, that command stands on its own.
That means this isn't only something to watch for in the news - it's something to act on now. Support a ministry or organization actually doing rescue and aftercare work. Stay alert to the signs of trafficking in your own community rather than assuming it only happens somewhere else. Teach the children in your life how to recognize danger and who to trust. And most of all, pray - specifically, not just in general terms.
That's where this needs to hit you personally, not just in your prayer time, but on your knees about it this week. Pray specifically that God would bring every hidden trafficking network out into the light, because His Word promises nothing stays covered forever. Pray for the rescue of the children and the vulnerable caught in it right now, and pray for their healing - not just their freedom, but the restoration of what trafficking breaks in a person, spirit, soul, and body. Pray for the investigators, the whistleblowers, and the rescue workers doing this work in the dark, because that's dangerous ground and they need courage and protection. Pray that God would break the silence of everyone who has looked the other way, whether out of fear or convenience or complicity. Pray for justice on the traffickers themselves - and pray for their repentance too, if God would extend that kind of mercy. Pray for more laborers to rise up who refuse to stay quiet for the sake of the least of these.
And don't stop at praying for all of that out there. Ask God what He wants you specifically to do about it - and then be willing to actually do it.
