Prophets In The White House
She Says The President Texts Her Every Day
The clip making the rounds this week is from self-described prophet Kat Kerr, who has told audiences for years that she has a direct line to President Trump. Here is her claim, timed to the video.
0:09 She opens by saying she knows the president well, and that he reaches out to her almost every day to hear what God has to say.
0:22 She says that twenty minutes before the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, Trump contacted her from the stage asking if she had a word for the people.
0:33 She says she answered with what she calls a word from God, telling him not to let fear take hold no matter what happened that day.
0:47 She ties the "fight, fight, fight" Trump shouted after being shot directly back to that word.
1:12 She says that for the next ten days, all Trump texted her was "fear not," over and over, and that he later sent her the first "fear not" mug and t-shirt ever made.
1:44 She says she gives Trump ideas for what to say publicly, including reminders to acknowledge God, and credits herself with encouraging him to carry a larger Bible.
2:16 She adds that she has been invited to the inauguration and says Trump has floated her as a possible vice-presidential pick, which she says she turned down.
That is her claim, minute by minute. Now let’s look at who else is in this space.
She’s Not The Only One With The President’s Ear
Kat Kerr is one of several voices tied to the president. Lance Wallnau, who first prophesied in 2016 that Trump would win the presidency, has cast him as a modern King Cyrus, anointed for the hour, and has remained one of the most influential figures connecting prophetic ministry to the Trump movement ever since. In an interview with CBS News, Wallnau described spending years building support for Trump among fellow evangelicals.
Televangelist Paula White-Cain, Trump’s longtime spiritual adviser, holds an even more formal role. She was named director of the newly re-established White House Faith Office in a February 2025 executive order, and by May was in the Rose Garden reporting the office had already briefed or hosted more than a thousand religious leaders, according to Christianity Today. Whatever one makes of Kerr’s claims, Wallnau’s and White-Cain’s access to this administration is well documented and out in the open.
The Biblical Case For Prophets In The White House
Scripture does not treat prophetic counsel to national leaders as strange - it treats it as normal, even valuable. Elisha warned the king of Israel of enemy troop movements before they happened (2 Kings 6:8-12). Daniel served as a trusted adviser to Babylonian and Persian kings for decades, interpreting dreams that shaped royal decisions. Nathan spoke directly and correctively to King David, and David listened (2 Samuel 12:1-13). When kings wanted to know what to do, they sought a true prophet - not because it was unusual, but because it was wise.
It is not like we have not seen spirituality shape the modern White House either, even in far less biblical forms. Nixon leaned on Jeane Dixon, a psychic whose predictions reached the Oval Office through his secretary Rose Woods, according to an article from Newsweek.com. Nancy Reagan went further, working with astrologer Joan Quigley to time everything from summit meetings to Air Force One takeoffs, according to Reagan’s own chief of staff, as reported in an article from the Hollywood Reporter.
If a psychic and an astrologer could earn that kind of trust in two separate administrations, there is nothing strange about wanting genuine, Spirit-led prophetic voices doing the same for this one. If anything, it would be an upgrade - and having voices like Wallnau in the room, or White-Cain running an actual office for it, is a step in the right direction.
Test It, Don’t Dismiss It
That is not a call to shut prophetic ministry out of public life. It is a call to hold every word, including Kerr’s, Wallnau’s, or anyone else’s, up to Scripture rather than accepting it - or rejecting it - just because it is said with confidence. Deuteronomy 18:21-22 gives us the standard for sorting a true word from a false one; it is not a reason to be cynical about the whole idea of prophetic counsel near a president.
Wallnau’s Cyrus language, White-Cain’s official office, and Kerr’s daily texts are three very different kinds of claims, carrying three very different levels of evidence. That is fine. God has always used a mix of the well-documented and the hard-to-verify to reach leaders, and our job is simply to weigh each one honestly rather than throw out the whole category because a few claims are dramatic.
This is what I heard. We’ll see if it’s from God.

A self-described prophet says she and the president trade texts almost every day, and that she knew he’d be shot twenty minutes before it happened. We’ll walk through her claim minute by minute, look at other prophetic voices around this president, and make the biblical case for why that’s not a bad thing at all, in this edition of GNITN.
