Julie Green In The Crosshairs

A Word From God

Unlike others who say what God is going to do in 2024, if I make predictions they are usually based on trends I see in the news and then how they relate to the Bible. But a person we know and I have interviewed in the past, Julie Green is getting attention from more mainstream outlets like Newsweek recently featured her in an article from November and now an article from yesterday where she is criticized this way:

Pastor Julie Green, a self-proclaimed prophet known for her allegiance to the MAGA movement, has predicted an "overthrow" of the U.S. government.

Green, who frequently shares messages she claims are sent from God on her Julie Green Ministries International streaming channels, has a history of controversial prophecies. Her past predictions range from the death of Democratic Representative Nancy Pelosi before the 2022 midterms to the collapse of legal indictments against former President Donald Trump.

In the latest video, posted by Ron Filipkowski, editor-in-chief of the liberal media outlet MeidasTouch, Green delivers a potent message: "My children, the time has come. A time that you have been waiting for. A reinstatement. A shift of power. A new government in control. An overthrow, and a takeover in this nation from the hands of the wicked, to the hands of the righteous."

She prophesizes a significant upheaval, suggesting a "coup is about to be disrupted and annihilated," with those involved "exposed and removed." Her prediction for 2024 is dramatic, hinting at an event that will "shake you loose from the chains that bind you."

Throughout both reports they say that Julie says she’s getting these words from God, but between the lines they are more than a tad skeptical. They do this by putting prophesied in quotes and using terms like “self-proclaimed” prophet.

Guilt By Association

The article goes on to mention the crowd she runs with as if that discounts the words she’s given:

Green has been a featured speaker at right-wing ReAwaken America events, which also have featured guests such as former Trump adviser Michael Flynn and Eric Trump, one of the former president's sons. The younger Trump appeared on Green's show last week, and she told him messages from God to her indicate that the Trump family is receiving God's protection.

For some reason, Newsweek in interested in Green if only to feed their liberal readers some red meat on the rise of prophets who also support Donald Trump. One article, who frequently uses information fed to them, Ron Filipkowski, describes himself as this on his X description: Editor-in Chief http://MeidasTouch.com, Co-host Uncovered, Attorney, Marine, Former Federal and State Prosecutor, Republican Party Insane Asylum Escapee. He said this about Green on X:

"Fresh off her podcast with Eric Trump, MAGA 'Prophet' Julie Green has God take possession of her body to say that Biden and the Deep State will be destroyed by 'one big massive event .. The walls are coming down!'"

I for one don’t expect secular journalists to grasp such transmissions, however that they are given attention are really opportunities.

Attacks On Green Come From Within As Well

One doesn’t need to go very far on X to find Christians who also criticize Green and others. An account for one is Brian Kaylor, who has an X title as Baptist minister. PhD political communication. 4 books on religion & politics. President & Editor-in-Chief - @WordAndWay

http://publicwitness.wordandway.org. In an X post from 10/21/22, Taylor said this about her:

"Prophet" Julie Green (who's been campaigning for Mastriano in #PAgov: https://publicwitness.wordandway.org/p/christian-nationalism-as-the-keystone) declared at ReAwaken America that God wants them to "take back the 7 mountains." And he’s not alone as we remember the prophet standards that came out in 2021 which called for others to sign a petition for all national prophecies to go through them before it goes public. Green is not the only one getting bad press with religious leaders as Amanda Grace, who Kaylor even criticizes as she prays for people, which I wonder why this is noteworthy. He does has this to day about the ReAwaken America stop in Pennsylvania in 2022:

Day 2 of ReAwaken America in PA starts with praise worship like you'd hear in an average evangelical church service. A prelude to the anti-vax, QAnon, & election conspiracies, this music is used to sanctify the profane politics as holy & ordained.

Mixing Christianity And Politics?

It would seem that Julie and others are performing the sin of speaking about Christianity and politics and the implication that those that do, like myself are Christian Nationalists and, if we’re smart and discerning, we need to separate church and state as if the founders meant that believers can’t be involved in how their country is run. As Rick Green likes to say, there are books in the Bible called Kings and Judges, so God must want us to pay attention to politics. How far we go is certainly a polarizing topic, but this attack on prophets and prophecy is disappointing, especially by ministers who should know better. Does God give words about the national and even international events around us? And does He want us to know the future on things like who is elected? These should be rhetorical questions, but to some, they aren’t. Pray for Green and others like her that are putting themselves out there simply because God dares to speak to them and through them. And let God speak to you in 2024. He wants to give you words of direction in what I believe will be a chaotic year.
