We’ve Known For Awhile
“If you find the godless world is hating you, remember it got its start hating me. If you lived on the world’s terms, the world would love you as one of its own. But since I picked you to live on God’s terms and no longer on the world’s terms, the world is going to hate you. 20 “When that happens, remember this: Servants don’t get better treatment than their masters. If they beat on me, they will certainly beat on you. If they did what I told them, they will do what you tell them.
21-25 “They are going to do all these things to you because of the way they treated me, because they don’t know the One who sent me. If I hadn’t come and told them all this in plain language, it wouldn’t be so bad. As it is, they have no excuse. Hate me, hate my Father—it’s all the same. If I hadn’t done what I have done among them, works no one has ever done, they wouldn’t be to blame. But they saw the God-signs and hated anyway, both me and my Father. Interesting—they have verified the truth of their own Scriptures where it is written, ‘They hated me for no good reason.’ (John 15:18-25, MSG)
Jesus knew a thing or two about being persecuted. That’s a major understatement. And in this warning for His disciples just before He was arrested He wanted them to know that what they would do to Him, they would do for those who followed Him. History tells us they did indeed saw that happen as 11 of the 12 apostles were martyred for their faith. The Apostle John faced being boiled in oil to kill him but miraculously survived. So, this warning was prescient to say the least. However, Jesus wasn’t just talking to those early believers, He was warning all Jews and Christians from that point on. And a modern day prophetic voice also issued a similar warning.
The Fourth Reich
In a meeting in Paris, France back on November 14, 2010, the late Kim Clement received a word where he mentions a rise in antisemitism. In an article in Charisma Magazine they revisited that word:
In a striking prophetic word delivered in 2010, the late Kim Clement warned of a coming wave of anti-Semitism across the Western world and a spiritual war that would engulf Europe. Today, more than a decade later, his words are being revisited by his daughter and team at House of Destiny, who believe they are unfolding before our eyes.
He used a term we should be at least partly familiar with:
Clement prophesied the rise of what he called a “Fourth Reich”—a spiritual and ideological resurgence of anti-Semitic sentiment that would sweep across Europe. Delivered from Paris, France, his message emphasized that what the world would witness was not merely political, but a deep and dangerous spiritual battle.
The late prophet talked about a rising tide of antisemitism coming from Europe:
Clement’s prophecy saw a dark wave coming primarily from Europe, naming nations like France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. But unlike the horrors of the past, this time he also foresaw a divine counter-response.
A Short War
As we parse this word, we need to understand that our interpretation could actually get in the way of what was given by Clement so keep that in mind as we read more about this prophecy. Then he heard about Persia which is modern day Iran:
According to Clement, a war—both physical and spiritual—would break out. “There will be a war. It shall be a short war,” he said, referencing the biblical struggle in the book of Daniel between the angelic forces of God and the “Prince of Persia.” He believed France and Great Britain would join with other allied nations to defeat what he called “the Beast of the East,” a coalition involving Iran and Russia. He made it clear that this victory would not be accomplished by might alone, but by divine intervention.
How Russia fits in all this is not known, but we do know that they are strategic allies with each other even now. Clement heard that France would push back on this Beast of the East and the key to winning:
‘“It shall be short-lived because as France destroyed the power of invasion from the Middle East in the seventh century, so shall it rise up again,” Clement said. He also pointed to the strategic importance of prayer and prophetic declaration in winning the heavenly battle. “Because of your words, the battle shall be won in the heavenlies,” he declared, speaking directly to believers who would join in spiritual warfare through intercession.
He also saw promise as well:
But in the midst of conflict, Clement also foresaw hope. He spoke of a great move of God that would flow through Europe—a spiritual awakening and outpouring unlike anything seen in recent history. “There shall be a great move of the Spirit,” he said, calling it “the next reformation” that would emerge through reconciliation and revival.
Clement then told us about the words that would win the coming war of antisemitism, but he singled one in particular:
The key to overcoming the hatred and chaos, Clement said, was not political strategy or military strength, but one word: Jesus. “The hatred for the Jewish people and the people of Christ is causing demonic rage,” he warned. “But God has made a declaration. One word out of the mouth of these people and the battle shall be won. That word is Yeshua—Jesus.”
I don’t know about you, but I got serious Holy Ghost tingling as I heard that in the video. As they say in my neck of the woods, that’ll preach. As we face the raging tide of Jewish hatred all around us we need to recall what Jesus told us way back in John 15. Saying the word “Jesus” alone won’t make a difference unless we’re part of the vine and producing grapes. To those believers He said whatever they asked the Father in His name He’ll give it to us (see John 15:16) and that was in the context of being hated. Clement alluded to a war we will win. And Jesus told us it was coming and how we win it.
