We Prayed For This

A Trip Down Memory Lane

Many of our cell phones remind us of pictures we posted on various social media sites as a way of connecting to using them. It’s a pretty ingenious tactic and pretty innocuous overall. Who doesn’t want to be reminded of that vacation celebrating a graduation, anniversary of just a last minute getaway that made as they say a memory. However, my suggested trip is a prophetic one and it goes back to 2020 when the last presidential election was all the rage. The whole YouTube prophets movement pretty much began with it and it continues to today. The main focus of a lot of prophecies were around the re-election of President Trump and of course that thing called a pandemic. I remember teaching then and I also recall some people who were rather disgusted with my support of said prophets and their prophecies. Many of these people still consider me a little unhinged to this day. But I think we need to take a look at the tenor, tone, and traits of those words and examine not only their accuracy, but how their fulfillments affects us now and, more importantly, how they affect our futures. Before I go further, I just need to tell you that I am a huge supporter of many of these prophets and the words that God is giving them as I see their respective rises as a fulfillment of Joel 2:28-32 and Acts 2:15-21.

Let’s Get Controversial

I’ll start with the prophecies on Donald Trump getting reelected as president. As I repeated many of the words I heard about this leading up to the 2020 elections, the events of November 3rd and November 4th astounded, upset and disappointed many supporters of Trump who were confident that God told us he would win. Then myself and a whole lot of others started looking for prophetic words to explain what was happening. Did we miss it? Or maybe it would happen another way and this would eventually lead to a righting of the ship. Then the prophetic words started coming out about the evil plans that were hatched for the elections and how God was using things to expose the swamp as it was called. Some of the leading prophetic voices told us that there was no way that all of these people could have been sent a lying spirit much like happened in 1 Kings 22:23:

“Don’t you see? The Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouths of all these prophets, but the fact of the matter is that the Lord has decreed disaster upon you.” (TLB)

And yet, even to this day Trump isn’t in the oval office. I recall one prophetic voice who said he travelled to 2022 and asked someone there who the president was and was told almost incredulously it was Trump. When the calendar turned to 2023 and even to today, Trump isn’t back in the White House. In my classes I had a few people who said that these words of a second term could be fulfilled in 2024 and myself and others said that many prophetic words said it was two consecutive terms which now would be seemingly impossible. And with every decision done by Joe Biden, every court appointment, every executive order, every investigation launched into Trump, the January 6th civilians and pro life supporters we heard that Trump would be back in the White House and it would all go away. And as of last week, not only is Trump not in the White House, he’s a convicted felon that his political opponents are already ordering an orange jump suit for him. So how are all these words stacking up now?

Fulfillment Of Words Can Take Longer

Now some prophecies were given dates and tied to events that are timed. The United States elections have pretty specific timing and once the inauguration occurs it always means that the election is completed. And yet, many people said that things were happening that would overturn an election than a lot of people felt was rigged. We had Supreme Court challenges that assured us that everyone elected in 2020 would have those elections voided and then replaced by others and the elected official could never hold office again. However the Brunson brothers tried time and time again, only to not get their cases even heard. So here we are, almost 4 years later and months away from another presidential election with Trump not in office and the predicted mass exposure of the deep state only being a little moving of the shade. No landslide that would just take all the nefarious plans rolling away with it. But I keep hearing that things are happening, that people are being arrested and tried in Gitmo, we just haven’t been able to verify it. The country is being run from Texas by the military according to some. I don’t know about you, but I’d like to see more concrete evidence of this by now. But as I led this paragraph with, this could have to take more time if only because of the magnitude of what we are praying for. We seem to tie a Trump second term to the strongholds coming down as if it should have happened by now. We are missing a very, very big point.

What If It Happens Soon?

I looked back at some of the words of exposure and if it was to happen say, in one day as many heard from God that it would, let’s take a moment to think about the day after. It would be chaos and so many would most likely fight being pried from power and dragged away in chains. The courts would be literally bogged down with the numbers of people that would have to be tried. Yes, I know these would be military tribunals, but you still have to have judges and lawyers to be involved. And the government would essentially be shut down for months, something that many people would applaud as they would see how many things would go on without skipping a beat. Whole media companies could very well fall apart and government workers would be out of jobs, some permanently. And if I recall, many of these plots and schemes required international accomplices so the landslide would affect the whole globe. Can the stage for such a massive event be set in just the time we’ve been petitioning Heaven? Are we asking for too much to happen in too short of time? The turn of events would be cataclysmic and affect each and every one of us. Which brings us to another point of discussion that few if anyone talks about.

Are We Ready To Lead?

As a constitutional coach for Patriot Academy I am well aware of how much of a process there is to get qualified and trained leaders to get in the political fray let alone leadership in any other field of leadership. I wonder if all those intercessors are willing to put legs on their prayers when a tsunami of justice sweeps through our country and even the world. I believe that those telling Christians to stay in their lanes and just evangelize are letting Satan play them like the fiddle he took down to Georgia. And accusing those who want to take their country back as Christian nationalists and even putting them on the FBI watch list as domestic terrorists these tools of the Devil hope to squelch any resistance to their plans. Along with threatening churches with the loss of their 501C3 status making them afraid of preparing their congregants for becoming like the black robed regiment that fought the British back in 1770s, the plot to silence the voices and stop the actions of Christians who want to do more is in full swing. But if what we’ve been praying for actually happens? Are we going to just say there’s nothing we can do? And worse, are we not training to fight back? The very things we are praying for could be delayed until we’re ready to handle it. If we are wondering why things are taking so long, it very well be the man or woman in the mirror who is holding things up. Let that sink in for a minute.

There Is Hope

There’s always hope. God isn’t about to not answer our prayers just because we’re not fully prepared for it. There are after all innocents who are also praying for justice as they rot in prisons right now. He wants to help them and there will be a time when their prayers must be answered. However, we have free will and maybe I’m the only one banging this particular drum or singing this tune of being prepared, but now you know. What are you going to do? As we are told, God will do His part, but we need to do ours. Granted God is doing the heavy lifting, but Goliath didn’t fall without a stone in a sling. Young David not only needed to get the stone, but he also needed to have the skills to use it. He had both although I doubt he knew it would come in handy when he brought food to his brothers. This is our Goliath moment folks, and we need to hone our sling skills now. And just as important, we need to run to the front lines and not run from it. Like Gideon, I’m sure God sees us as mighty leaders as we cower in fear in the wine press. Keep praying for the great exposures but start asking Him for what we need to do the day after. He works through people like you and me. You may not see this a prophetic word, but it is. Remember these verses:

The Angel of the Lord appeared to him and said, “Mighty soldier, the Lord is with you!”

13 “Stranger,” Gideon replied, “if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us? And where are all the miracles our ancestors have told us about—such as when God brought them out of Egypt? Now the Lord has thrown us away and has let the Midianites completely ruin us.”

14 Then the Lord turned to him and said, “I will make you strong! Go and save Israel from the Midianites! I am sending you!”

15 But Gideon replied, “Sir, how can I save Israel? My family is the poorest in the whole tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least thought of in the entire family!”

16 Whereupon the Lord said to him, “But I, Jehovah, will be with you! And you shall quickly destroy the Midianite hordes!” (Judges 6:12-16, TLB)

The battle is the Lords but He needs soldiers like you and me. Rise up oh mighty warriors!
