The Eclipse Of Doom

We Know God Is Speaking

The heavens are telling the glory of God; they are a marvelous display of his craftsmanship. 2 Day and night they keep on telling about God. 3-4 Without a sound or word, silent in the skies, their message reaches out to all the world. The sun lives in the heavens where God placed it 5 and moves out across the skies as radiant as a bridegroom going to his wedding, or as joyous as an athlete looking forward to a race! 6 The sun crosses the heavens from end to end, and nothing can hide from its heat. (Ps 19:1-6, TLB)

These verses are being used an awful lot these days and for good reason. An eclipse this rare does make Christians and really anyone notice the creation all around them. And in our universe, we’re the only planet that experiences eclipses because of the unique position of our moon and the sun. Of course it means something if only to see that God cares to let us enjoy these eclipses. But if He is communicating with us through the upcoming eclipse, what is He saying? That’s where people are literally all over the Biblical map and by extension the prophetic map. The path of this eclipse and the one before and an eclipse that happened on October 14, of 2023 all three visible over America create a letter in Hebrew called an Aleph which is the first letter in their alphabet. And then the two total eclipses also form an “X” across the United States making us curious where it is and, more importantly, what it means if anything. I detailed some of the theories in a video on my social media channels, however I’ve been listening to more sources and I’m getting mixed signals from them. Is this eclipse warning us about major bad things happening to America or is it showing us God’s mercy and blessings? Or maybe a little of both?

The Doom Oracles

From the camp saying that whenever an eclipse comes it always means something bad always happens, the possible events range from catastrophic to cautionary. On the natural disaster side we have those who see the New Madrid fault opening again splitting the country into two and sending a wave of water over the area. Of course the last time this earthquake fault erupted, it was a huge event causing the Mississippi to change directions and with even the east coast feeling the rumbles. Some say if it goes off now with so many more people in the affected areas the loss of life could be staggering. Of course you have the conspiracy theorists saying that the government will release a chemical agent in the path of totality that will start the next pandemic in the people looking up at the eclipse. If you watch a popular video from Pastor Jim Staley which has been seen by 3.5 million people on YouTube alone then you hear him say that all manner of things could happen. The Rapture of the church could happen, the War of Gog and Magog could happen, the New Madrid Fault could split the country in half. And then there is the Devil Comet that also showed up the last time the New Madrid fault got active and he connects even a similar “X” from eclipses in the country of Turkey. If you’ve got 35 minutes or so to spend listening to it you’ll be overloaded with things that he maintains are far from coincidences. One thing for sure is, this man is very thorough. He talked about the blood red moons, American Indians, the Antichrist, the pandemic, the 2000th anniversary of the Resurrection of Jesus and, and, and I’m getting dizzy.

Not Everyone Sees This Eclipse As A Bad Thing

In another video, this one on Rumble, author and teacher Sheila Holm has another take on the eclipse. She maintains that the three eclipses form two crosses and that it also forms the letter “El” which is Hebrew for God. In other words, it signifies God over America. She also talked about the 7 cities named Niniveh and agreed that they pointed to the story in the book of Jonah but thought that it wasn’t a bad thing since the narrative doesn’t end in judgment for the city but repentance and revival. She also noted that the dire splitting of America was also thought to happen in 2017 and it didn’t and that it doesn’t happen every time an eclipse like these happen. She was on a show with someone saying this and when they were off camera she countered this theory by saying if the New Madrid Fault was going to split America, why won’t it also split into Canada as well. She said that the combined the cities of Salem from both elicpses point to peace and she pivots to the Niniveh lesson. She sees these eclipses as a way for our country to repent and the God who is overall will not overthrow the country, just like Assyria. However we have to repent. No catastrophes, no weird events are coming, but the choice is up to us as a nation and up to us as individuals. God is not forsaking us and He isn’t lifting His blessing from Him. It will only happen if we forsake Him. And we need to as Christians then ask why He is getting our attention. Is there something we still need to do that we’re not doing? So it is a wake up call. Just not the one some think. I certainly can see this more than I can the disasters of Biblical proportion. I’m not making up your mind on this. You pray and then listen.
