Connecting The Dots
I detailed how deceitful Hamas is now and the day before I detailed how the media is responsible for globalizing antisemitism. Today I want to let you know just how pervasive this move to attack and kill Jews is by sharing what’s already happened since the start of the Jewish celebration of Hanukkah three days ago. Here is a post from the X account of Dr. Casey Babb that tells us just that:
If you aren't aware of what's going on right now, let me break it down for you. Jews worldwide are being hunted down and killed. It's only day three of Hanukkah, and already we've seen:
1. Jews murdered by a jihadi father-son duo in Australia that seriously wounded many people, including my friend @Ostrov_A
(thinking of you, brother).
2. Students at @BrownUniversity
were murdered in a class being taught by Rachel Friedberg, a Jewish professor who leads the school's Judaic Studies program.
3. A Jewish professor of nuclear physics at M.I.T. was murdered in his home today.
4. Orthodox Jews in New York were violently assaulted on the subway.
5. Violent Palestinian protestors disrupted a peaceful Hanukkah celebration in Amsterdam. Dozens were arrested after police had to physically surround families celebrating the holiday to protect them.
6. A Jewish family in California had their home hit by gunfire because they had Hanukkah decorations up. One of the criminals shouted, "Free Palestine."
7. An Islamic terrorist attack has been foiled in Poland at a Christmas market.
8. An Islamic terrorist attack has been foiled in Germany at a Christmas market.
9. A Palestinian terrorist attack was foiled in California.
10. France has cancelled its NYE celebrations because of the terrorist threat level.
11. Canada's Integrated Terrorism Assessment Centre has said that a terrorist attack in Canada is now "a realistic possibility."
He ended the post this way:
I've been studying terrorism for 20 years, and I've never seen things this bad. The West is under attack – full stop. The question now is, what the h**l are we going to do about it?
Reading about these accounts individually doesn’t have the same impact if the media even does report on them. Most are slow on the uptake, and many look at them separately if at all. Dr. Babb rightly makes the point. We disregard the trends at our peril.
Ignorance Is Dangerous
And Prime Minister Netanyahu once again is sounding the alarm as we read in an article on CBN.com:
Syrian and Palestinian Authority passport holders will not be able to enter the U.S. as of the beginning of the year, the latest in a series of bans. Meanwhile, against the backdrop of the deadly attack in Australia last weekend, Israel is demanding that world leaders wake up and fight antisemitism.
From Israel the PM called on Western leaders to do more than talk:
In Israel, with the Hanukkah massacre still on the minds of most Israelis, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on world leaders to take action against hatred for Jews.
"I demand that Western governments do what is necessary to combat antisemitism and provide the necessary security and safety for Jewish communities around the world. And they should heed our warnings. I demand that they act – now," the prime minister declared.
Another Israeli source also spoke out:
Israeli government spokesperson Shosh Bedrosian told CBN News that Israel is at a pivotal point in trying to convince the world how important it is to condemn anti-Semitic language and how frustrating it is that many won't listen.
She said that these countries who support a Palestinian state are reaping what they sowed when they did that:
"Prime Minister Netanyahu has been calling out leaders who have decided to recognize a Palestinian state," she explained. "When you do that, Hamas thanks you if you are in a situation as a country, and Hamas, a terror organization, is thanking you for recognizing a Palestinian state, don't you think you're doing something wrong? You are giving a prize to terrorism."
Bedrosian also noted the growing amount of protests as a sign of the danger we’re seeing now:
She said the writing has been on the wall with the myriad of street protests.
"These streets have been a walking red flag for two years. You know, I remember seeing Hamas and Hezbollah flags, just on the streets of New York City. What does that do to a Jew? You're shaking in your boots a little bit," Bedrosian remarked.
She added, "Where am I living? Where am I? What has this world gone to? What society are we living in? This has happened to Jews across the world."
She thanked US President Trump for speaking up:
Bedrosian commended President Trump for taking a stand, and said other leaders should follow suit.
Trump took time to show concern for the victims and then turned inward to how America needs to strengthen its support for Israel and the Jews:
"Let me take a moment to send the love and prayers to our entire nation, to the people of Australia, and especially all those affected by the horrific and antisemitic terrorist attack. And that's exactly what it is, antisemitic," Trump stated. He also warned of an increasingly antisemitic Congress at a White House Hanukkah party.
"If you go back 10, 12, 15 years ago, at the most, the strongest lobby in Washington was the Jewish lobby. It was Israel. That's no longer true. You have to be very careful. You have a Congress in particular, which is becoming antisemitic," the President cautioned.
And a prominent Democrat took his party to task for being antisemitic:
In an interview with Newsmax, Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman said he's been incredibly disappointed in his own Democratic Party. Fetterman noted, "People are trying to pretend these kinds of words and terms like, you know, ‘from the River to the Sea’ or to ‘globalize the intifadah’ and all those other things. We all know what this means. And I refuse to pander to that, and for me it’s been a rot within the American Left and within my party."
